Privacy Policy

The data controller is Filippo Odorico, Rivignano-Teor (UD), Italy, who runs Thalara Studio.

For anything about your data, email support@thalara.studio.

When you join the waitlist, we store:

• your email address;
• the date and time you signed up;
• a consent record: when you ticked the box and which version of the wording you agreed to.

That's all. We don't ask for your name or anything else.

Like every website, our hosting provider processes technical data (such as your IP address and browser information) in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure. To stop abuse of the signup form, your IP address is also kept briefly in temporary server memory; it is never saved in our database. We don't use any of this to identify or profile anyone.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It records the page viewed, the referring site, your approximate location (country) and your browser, operating system and device type. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across websites; to avoid counting the same visit twice, it uses a code derived from your request that is discarded after 24 hours. We only see totals.

We use your email address to tell you when the app launches and to send you occasional product updates.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the box on the signup form. You can withdraw it at any time (see section 8); withdrawing it doesn't affect anything we did before.

Server logs and the aggregated visit counts are based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the site secure and understanding, in general terms, how many people visit it.

We keep your email address and consent record until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and in any case no longer than 24 months after the app launches.

Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time according to its own retention settings, and analytics are only kept as aggregated counts.

We use these service providers (data processors), who only handle your data on our instructions:

• Vercel Inc. (United States): Hosts the website and the signup form, keeps short-lived server logs and runs Vercel Web Analytics. Privacy policy
• Supabase, Inc. (United States): Hosts the database where the waitlist (email, signup date, consent record) is stored. Privacy policy

We don't use an email service yet. Before we send our first email, we'll add it to this list and update the date at the top of this page.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers of data outside the EU rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

• We never sell your data.
• We never use it for advertising.
• We never use it to train AI models.

This site doesn't set any cookies and doesn't store anything on your device to track you. Vercel Web Analytics (described in section 2) works without cookies. Fonts are served from our own domain, so your browser doesn't contact Google or any other font service, and there are no ads, social media widgets or other third-party trackers.

Because there are no cookies or trackers that need your consent, there's no cookie banner.

Under the GDPR (Articles 15 to 22) you have the right to:

• access the data we hold about you;
• rectify it if it's wrong;
• erase it;
• restrict how we use it;
• portability: receive it in a common, machine-readable format;
• object to how we use it;
• withdraw your consent at any time.

To use any of these rights, email support@thalara.studio or click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send you. Unsubscribing deletes your email address from the waitlist. We'll reply within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority in the EU country where you live or work.

The waitlist is for people aged 16 and over. If you're younger, please don't sign up.

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
